Знакомство с темами выступлений в этом году продолжается и в этот раз мы хотим представить вам зарубежного гостя.
Мы всегда стараемся приглашать помимо практиков самих разработчиков Selenium. Ведь лучше всего узнавать информацию из первых рук. В этом году среди прочих нас посетит François Reynaud из компании eBay, который является основным разработчиком Selenium Grid и ios-driver. François подготовит для конференции два доклада.
Первый из них называется “Selenium Grid : managing your browser farm.” и речь в нем пойдет, как нетрудно догадаться, о Selenium Grid:
Selenium Grid is the standard means of scaling a large number a Selenium tests on a vast combination of browsers / OS. Maintaining such a grid, while keeping a high up time can be a challenge if you use grid with the default settings. This talk will focus on how to use the Selenium Grid plugin mechanism in conjunction with a cloud architecture to overcome this challenge.
The presentation will cover the following topics:
- description of what a grid plugin is and of the different entry points it can hook into
- standard problems encountered in a medium size grid
- possible resolution using virtualization
- adding more logging/monitoring features via a plugin
Второй доклад “ios-driver for iOS test automation with WebDriver” будет посвящен теме мобильного тестирования с помощью WebDriver:
François Reynaud is the main committer for ios-driver, an open source project that allows automating native and hybrid ios apps (and is compatible with the existing Selenium Grid API and infrastructure). He will showcase that automation of mobile apps follows the same principles as automation for the web. The presentation will focus on how to write robust and highly maintainable tests, how to tackle multi locale applications and how to reduce test execution times by running mobile tests in parallel (device and simulator) by leveraging the Selenium Grid infrastructure.
